Special Needs Classroom Assistants Dagenham Heathway (Ages 3 to 19)

We are seeking Special Needs Classroom Assistants to join our vibrant, modern Special School immediately. Our school supports students with a range of learning difficulties, including Autism Spectrum Conditions and other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

About the Role:

We have positions available across the Primary, Secondary, and Sixth Form phases. The role involves working Monday to Friday, with hours from 8:45am to 15:30pm (Monday to Friday)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the learning and development of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Assist with personal care needs, promoting students independence.
  • Adapt to working across different phases (Primary, Secondary, or Sixth Form) as required on a daily basis.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Interested in working as a Teaching Assistant at an Outstanding school with high expectations.
  • Experience working with young people or adults with SEN.
  • Positive, flexible attitude to meet the needs of children.
  • Willingness to assist with students' personal care needs and support their journey to independence.
