Due to the continued expansion of their client base, our client are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. This is an exciting time to join a very unique group and offers an interesting and progressive career.

The role will focus on the completion of accounts for clients including corporate and personal tax matters, with client contact varying significantly based on individual client demand.

Experience of staff management will be useful as this would be an ideal complement to the existing skill set of the team.

You will be expected to provide training and mentoring support to the accounts team as they continue on their professional journey.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and building relations with a variety of ultra-high net worth clients whilst always providing outstanding service.
  • Answering incoming calls to the department and handling these appropriately.
  • Preparing accounts and tax returns mainly LLP accounts, so experience is preferred but not essential
  • Handling account queries.
  • Ensuring financial statements and records comply with laws and regulations.
  • Ensuring records are accurate.
  • Preparation and analysis of client’s financial records, including data management, analysis and consultation.
  • Giving accounting advice to clients.
  • Liaising with HMRC.
  • Supporting the practice manager in the reviewing and signing off of accounts

To be considered for the role you must:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ practice experience within a recognised UK based firm of Accountants and have relevant knowledge of accounts production.
  • Be AAT/ACA/ACCA qualified, or with substantial practice experience.
  • Possess excellent communication and IT skills and should have the ability to build client relationships. You should also prioritise attention to detail and have a "can do" attitude.
  • Have previous experience in managing team members in an accountancy practice would be advantageous.
