Accounts Assistant role waiting to be filled
Venn Group have been approached by a Private Company, and would like to introduce the following available position
Position: Accounts Assistant
Location: Darlington
Salary: £21,000-22,000
Length: 9-Month FTC
Hours: 35 hours p/week
The role will predominantly involve:
- Aiding the Head of Finance to ensure compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules, Anti-Money Laundering Regulations and VAT Requirements
- Understanding and following the firms’ internal procedures
- Helping to process incoming and Outgoing Client and Business Account transactions
- Completing Daily Bank Reconciliations and Bill Processing
- Assisting with processing Banking
- Being responsible for issuing outgoing cheques
- Processing Outgoing BACS/CHAPS payments
- Carrying out card payments from clients over the phone and processing payments whilst maintaining GDPR standards
- Supporting with Credit Control procedures
- Assisting with Petty Cash handling and reconciling and processing write offs
- Professionally handling both internal and external queries
- Full training will be provided.
The successful candidate must have previous experience in a similar role, and be available at short notice.
