Position: Clerical AssistantPay Band: Band 2 - £12.64 per hourReporting To: Senior Finance Officer

Job Purpose:

To provide administrative support within the Finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce accurate and confidential documents, including standard letters and reports, within deadlines.

  • Assist with appointment scheduling and security for team members.

  • Perform data input tasks, including time sheet recording and generating reports.

  • Coordinate payment uploads, including requisitioning, sales ledger, income receipting, and petty cash handling.

  • Issue and receive financial documentation.

  • Undertake general office duties such as photocopying, scanning, filing, and archiving.

  • Support all Finance Team members as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with financial procedures, regulations, and debt recovery protocols.

  • Facilitate effective communication with other departments and external agencies.

Person Specification:

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Knowledge of administration systems and procedures.

  • Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Access).

  • IT literacy and ability to use office software.

  • Strong record-keeping and organizational skills.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

  • 4 GCSEs (A*-C) or equivalent.

  • One year of clerical experience.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.

  • Familiarity with financial systems and procedures.
