Customer Order Management Representative

6-Month Contract, Remote with Occasional Onsite Visits

We are seeking a Customer Order Management Representative to support our team during a temporary increase in workload. This is a 6-month contract with the potential for extension based on business needs. The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with standard working hours of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, offering some flexibility.

While this position is fully remote, candidates must be able to travel to the Darlington site to collect IT equipment or, if preferred, to work onsite occasionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage customer accounts throughout the order lifecycle, including order entry, modifications, escalations, and logistics coordination.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, distribution centers, manufacturing teams, and internal departments.
  • Provide accurate documentation and maintain continuous communication with customers regarding order status.
  • Investigate and resolve complex customer inquiries by leveraging internal processes and policies.
  • Escalate unresolved issues with appropriate documentation and follow-ups.
  • Ensure compliance with export regulations and prepare necessary shipping documentation.
  • Generate and distribute reports for internal teams and customers.
  • Support departmental initiatives to improve customer service efficiency and process optimization.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in customer service or order management, demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple orders efficiently.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of supply chain or logistics is beneficial but not required.
  • Experience with Oracle is an advantage but not mandatory.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a college degree is preferred.
  • Some prior experience in customer order management, account management, or supply chain is desirable.
Compensation & Contract Details
  • Hourly Pay: £17.13 (PAYE)
  • Contract Duration: 6 months, with the potential for extension
  • Work Arrangement: Remote with occasional onsite visits as needed
