Reed Business Support in Teesside are seeking a dedicated part time Human Resources Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes for their manufacturing client based near Darlington. This role will be mostly standalone, supported by one part-time direct report (Training Assistant). You will be responsible for managing a wide range of HR activities including recruitment, policy management, and employee relations for 70+ employees.

Day-to-day of the role:
- Maintain personnel and training files ensuring they are up to date and comply with legal requirements.
- Issue employment contracts and manage the onboarding process for new hires.
- Handle absence management including conducting return to work interviews.
- Process and check staff holiday requests to ensure smooth operations.
- Keep all training manuals current and ensure policies are updated in line with current employment law.
- Conduct new employee inductions to foster a positive onboarding experience.
- Investigate and conduct disciplinary hearings as required.
- Collate working hours for the weekly payroll processing.
- Maintain and review HR procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Conduct risk assessments and report accidents as necessary.
- Organise essential and ad hoc training sessions to ensure staff development.
- Manage Health and Safety protocols for the site.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role.
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain flexible with changing priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
