£35k - £40k + 26 days holidays + banks (pro rata) + flexi time working

We are proud to partner with our client, a Teesside based charity, who provide vital services to the community. Reporting to the Head of People, you will provide advice and guidance to managers to ensure they manage HR related issues fairly and consistently, from hire to retire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of 2 part time HR Administrators
  • Manage HR casework including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and potentially redundancy
  • Manage processes for induction, probation, performance, attendance and sickness
  • Review, improve, implement HR procedures ensuring that managers are adequately trained and supported
  • Ensure policies and procedures are up to date and legally compliant
  • Provide HR reports and statistics
  • Lead and advise on recruitment, authorisation process, job descriptions, application forms, interview questions and undertaking DBS and other employment checks, etc.
  • Ensure payroll information is provided to Finance in accordance with procedures
  • Deliver the Annual Staff Satisfaction Survey
  • Manage and monitor employee well-being
  • Maintain leave, sickness, maternity, paternity & and adoption, and associated paperwork

Experience and qualification required

  • A thorough understanding of employment law and applying this into practice
  • Minimum Level 5 in HR Management with a proven track record
  • Ability to review contracts of employment, policies, procedures & documents
  • Experience in training managers and staff
  • Experience of HRIS
  • Strong resilience and positive attitude
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
