Position Summary:Theyare seeking an experienced and driven Site Manager to oversee major projects valued in excess of 25m. The successful candidate will have a strong background with Tier 1 or regional main contractors, specializing in external works and structural steel. Experience in public sector construction is highly desirable, and package management experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Manage the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring that all activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Package Management: Coordinate and oversee various project packages, ensuring seamless integration and successful delivery of each component.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team, including subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce strict health and safety standards on-site, conducting regular audits and risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor all construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client expectations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and promptly address any issues that arise.
  • Financial Management: Monitor project costs and manage budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and maximizing profitability.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed progress reports, identifying potential risks or issues and recommending effective solutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager with Tier 1 or regional main contractors.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale projects valued at 25m or more.
  • Extensive expertise in external works and structural steel construction.
  • Significant experience in public sector construction projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong package management experience is essential.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in construction.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

Education and Certifications:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in health and safety, project management, and construction management are advantageous.
