About the role…

In this role, you'll be responsible for processing high-volume payrolls accurately and on time, ensuring that deadlines are met and that everything runs smoothly.

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will collaborate closely with both the HR and finance teams to efficiently resolve payroll queries and discrepancies. Additionally, you'll be responsible for processing pension contributions, calculating statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, and SPP, VAT returns and processing payroll journals to ensure accurate financial records.

Your ability to remain calm under pressure will be essential as you manage multiple tasks and deadlines, ensuring smooth and accurate payroll operations at all times.About you…

To succeed in this role, you will have experience in a similar payroll position, managing and processing a large payroll and pension contributions. Experience with IRIS payroll would be an advantage, and strong Excel skills are essential. Ideally, you will also have experience in VAT and journal processing.

A willingness to learn and take on new tasks is essential, as you will be supporting the Finance Manager wherever possible and contributing to the continued success of the team.

Your positive, proactive attitude and ability to adapt will be key to thriving in this role.
