Mobile Industrial Engineer

Salary: £43,000 per annum – OTE £55,000pa (inclusive of overtime and bonuses)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7.30am - 5pm (Friday 3.30pm finish)

Location: North Based (with travel to various sites)

Our client, a leading engineering company based in Leeds, is seeking an experienced Mobile Industrial Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled individual with a strong mechanical and electrical engineering background, particularly in maintaining industrial doors or similar equipment. The role involves travel to multiple locations, ensuring industrial systems are operating at optimal efficiency.

Ideally you need to be based within the Northern regions to be within commuting distance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance of industrial installations across multiple sites.
  • Perform occasional repairs and replace parts on industrial equipment as required.
  • Complete online service reports following site visits, detailing completed work and recommendations for future action.
  • Submit post-visit service reports using the company’s online system.
  • Work independently or as part of a team, depending on the project.
  • Liaise with customers daily, maintaining strong communication and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Travel daily to various locations and occasionally stay away for up to a week at a time.
  • Availability for occasional weekend work, with time off in lieu.
  • Potential for occasional overseas assignments.
  • Undergo security/DBS clearance early in the role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in maintaining industrial doors is preferred.
  • Experience in lift engineering or overhead crane systems would be an advantage.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical engineering background, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • 18th Edition electrical qualifications.
  • IPAF and DHF certification.
  • CSCS card holder.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
