Children Support Worker

• Location: Darlington
• Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary (covering sickness until at least 8th March)
• Pay: £12 - £12.50 per hour

We are looking for a Children/Young People Support Worker in Darlington. This role is crucial for providing 1-1 face-to-face support to children and young people who are at risk of sexual exploitation or have been exploited. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure their safety, well-being, and development through tailored support and intervention. This position is temporary to cover sickness. 

You will be working for a leading children's charity in the UK, dedicated to transforming the lives of the most vulnerable children and young people. With a long history of providing support and care to those in need, they run over 760 specialist services across the UK, helping children and young people feel safer, happier, healthier, and more hopeful. Their mission is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances.

• Provide direct 1-1 support to children and young people.
• Develop and implement individualised support plans.
• Work closely with other professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Participate in regular training and supervision.

• Must be a driver with own car.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children and young people at risk of or affected by Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE).
• Must be on the DBS Update Service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
