About Us:Randstad is proud to partner with the Child Protection team in Darlington to recruit a committed and experienced Social Worker. This role provides an opportunity to work with children and families facing challenging situations, ensuring that children are safe, protected, and their welfare is promoted.

Job Description:As a Child Protection Social Worker, you will manage a caseload of children in need, those under child protection plans, and children in care. You will conduct assessments, work with multi-agency teams, and make key decisions to safeguard children from harm.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs.
  • Develop and implement care and protection plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
  • Work closely with children, families, and professionals from various agencies to ensure coordinated support.
  • Attend and contribute to child protection case conferences, strategy meetings, and court proceedings.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working in child protection or a similar statutory social work role.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures, child protection legislation, and relevant policies.
  • Ability to manage a complex caseload and work effectively under pressure.
