An exciting and rare opportunity has become available as Social Worker within the Children's Initial Advice Team. If you want to work at the heart of a wider multi-agency front door, working alongside early help, police, health, education and other vital partners all working together to help keep children safe then come and join us. Our front door are committed to relationship-based practice we work together to ensure that children and their families get the "right service, first time, with no delay", whether this is by way of family support, early help or social care intervention you will play a pivotal role in applying your skills and knowledge to contribute to the success of our children and their families. Your role will be risk assessing incoming contact information over the telephone from a wide range of sources and making swift, effective decisions as to the next steps. This role requires a significant understanding and experience of risk in order to provide consistent clarity and direction. A broad range of children's social care is essential from Early Help through to care proceedings and adoption in order to manage the diverse range of contacts that are received within the Children's Initial Advice Team. Within the CIAT we use the Professor David Thorpe model and the role is non case holding with agile working.
