Job Description:

Are you an experienced social worker with a passion for supporting looked-after children?
In this role, you will provide guidance and support to social workers while managing a complex caseload of looked-after children and young people transitioning out of care.

Responsibilities:

Managing a complex caseload of looked-after children and young people, ensuring their care plans are effectively implemented and reviewed.
Supporting the transition of young people from care to independence, including the development of Pathway Plans.
Conducting assessments to identify the needs and strengths of the children and young people in your care.
Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, external agencies, and other professionals to coordinate services and resources.
Attending and contributing to child protection conferences, reviews, and court proceedings.
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and looked-after children.

Qualifications:

Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
Significant experience in a social work role, particularly working with looked-after children or within a children's social care service.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children, young people, carers, and professionals.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social care and child protection.
