Assistant Management Accountant | Dartford - Hybrid | Up to £35K DOE

Our client, a growing organisation are looking for an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join them on a permanent basis. You will work full time hours (37.5 hours a week) with flexible Hybrid working arrangements available.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the production of accurate monthly Management Accounts, including supporting schedules, variance analysis, and commentary for the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
  • Assist in the production of timely Management Accounts to Depot Managers and the wider management team, offering insightful commentary and addressing queries.
  • Foster a collaborative relationship with the depots to enhance financial understanding and decision-making.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts as part of the month-end process, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial data.
  • Produce essential schedules to assist in the preparation of the forecasts and annual budgets.
  • Post accruals, prepayments, and other journal entries as part of regular accounting procedures.
  • Produce and present necessary financial data to external auditors for the annual audit.
  • Engage with depots and various business units to provide necessary financial data and foster better financial understanding.
  • Deliver high-quality financial analysis, ensuring that all financial reports are accurate, timely, and support decision-making across the business.
  • Support the Senior Management Team on any ad hoc projects or financial report requests.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Key skills
