Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic Operational Delivery Programme Lead to oversee the transition of inpatient services. This role requires strong leadership, programme management expertise, and the ability to drive organisational change in a complex organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational delivery of a major service transition to a new inpatient facility, ensuring smooth and effective service migration.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and workforce strategies to support the transition.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical teams, estates and facilities, IT, finance, HR, and external stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Oversee training and familiarisation programmes for staff and service users.
  • Drive cultural, technological, and organisational change within the service.
  • Ensure all aspects of the transition comply with relevant regulatory and operational standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project delivery, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support post-transition activities to ensure continued success and stability in the new facility.

Requirements

  • Significant senior management experience within health or social care.
  • Strong background in project and programme management, ideally in large-scale.
  • Proven track record of implementing and managing service transformation projects.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in operational commissioning, workforce planning, and change management.
  • Ability to work across diverse teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Formal qualifications in Programme/Project Management.
