The Role:

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be an essential part of our transport operations, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods across various locations. You will work 9.5 hours per day, driving a well-maintained vehicle, and providing excellent service to our clients. Your role is crucial in maintaining the smooth flow of goods and upholding the high standards of our transport business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle to deliver goods as per the assigned routes.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it meets safety standards.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring they are securely transported and delivered without damage.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring safe driving practices at all times.
  • Complete delivery paperwork accurately and promptly, maintaining clear communication with the transport office.
  • Provide excellent customer service, representing the company in a professional manner during all deliveries.
  • Assist with any logistical challenges that may arise during deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient solutions.

What We're Looking For:

  • A valid HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record.
  • A valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
  • Previous experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, with a strong understanding of road safety and vehicle maintenance.
