Revit Technician

Client: Our client is a traditional privately owned M&E contractor based in Kent. The business turns over 30M+ undertaking projects in the retail banking, government, commercial office and healthcare sectors. Their average project size is between 200K and 5M, with the majority of their projects being located in central London. Having been established over 50 years they benefit from being a preferred contractor for major blue chip clients, client include: ISG, Willmott Dixon, Barclays and HSBC. This means they have a continuous and stable workflow. Having appointed a new Managing Director and with a forecasted 30M turnover for the year the business is looking to appoint a CAD Technician.

Role: CAD/Revit Technician- 30,000 - 40,000 + Package

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design of various building services projects throughout London. Typically the company operates in commercial office, government or retail banking sectors.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Setup drawings and make ready for other team members to work on.
• Review project files for compliance with standards/protocols.
• Produce accurate 2D drawings, 3D models using AutoCAD & Revit.
• Production of fully co-ordinated working drawings from design intent drawings, sketches etc.
• Production of drawing sections and details to demonstrate practical installations.
• Co-ordinate multi service drawings to ensure spatial limitations are achieved.
• Liaise with engineers, design team to resolve design problems, technical queries of on-going site installation.
• Produce as built drawings from site survey/marked up installation drawings.
• Coordinate drawing production in line with project programme requirements and in conjunction with others.
• Provide drawings and technical information related to the project and requirements of the client.
• Modelling and co-ordination of MEP services i.e. HVAC, Plumbing, ductwork, pipework, cable tray etc. using AutoCAD & Revit MEP.

The ideal candidate:

• 2 years + experience as a CAD Technician
• Ideally have a HNC or HND and good technical knowledge of mechanical design services.
• Experience working in the commercial office/retail banking
• Have the right forward-thinking attitude
