REED HR have partnered with a company in Keent who are seeking a HR Business Partner to provide a professional, efficient, and effective service to all levels of staff within the organisation. This role is based in Dartford, Kent with some travel to other sites.
Day-to-day of the role:- Ensure compliance with regulatory, legislative, and procedural requirements.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships, providing consultancy services to management and staff, identifying and resolving specific People issues.
- Proactively manage sickness and absence procedures, liaising with occupational health providers and assisting with health-related risk assessments.
- Manage family leave cases, including flexible working requests, and handle individual employee relations cases related to disciplinaries, grievances, and capabilities.
- Support the development and maintenance of a performance management culture, coaching managers through performance management processes.
- Provide advice on pay, conditions of service, People policies, and employment law.
- Guide workforce planning and recruitment, ensuring innovative solutions for hard-to-fill posts.
- Participate in the recruitment process, ensuring compliance with Safer Recruitment processes.
- Conduct People-related induction for new managers and oversee the preparation of employment contracts and variations.
- Contribute to the development of People policies and procedures, ensuring they utilize current technology to deliver an efficient service.
- Create and deliver training on People-related matters to develop competent managers.
- Travel to other sites to maintain a high-profile People service.
- Represent the People department internally and externally, ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (Level 7 desirable).
- Post Graduate Degree in an HR/People-related discipline is desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of employment legislation and People practices.
- Significant experience in a similar People role within an HR team.
- Experience in managing HR information systems and supporting managers through various People processes.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
