We are seeking a diligent Payroll Assistant to join our Accounting & Finance team within and successful industry sector. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have a keen interest in Payroll and HR processes.

Description

  • Accurately processing payroll in a timely manner.
  • Handling payroll queries from employees and management.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records.
  • Assisting with month-end processes and reporting.
  • Collection, collation and verification of time and attendance data
  • Maintenance of the HR equipment and system
  • Main point of contact for site with assistance for setup new starters and any user problems
  • Upload of data into Payroll System Payroll System
  • Review, verify and upload associated costs such as expenses, fuel allowance, overtime etc
  • Seek authorisation of data from the relevant parties
  • Check and sign off the final Payment run
  • Pass Payroll for payment
  • Send the RTI and upload pension
  • Verify new starters right to work and review starter pack
  • Set up all new starters on all systems
  • Issue Disciplinary/Absence/Termination Letters
  • Book all the accommodation and travel requirements Experience Required
  • Supporting the Accounting & Finance team with other financial tasks as needed.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of payroll processes.
  • Collaborating with HR to ensure accurate employee data.

Profile

A successful Payroll and HR Assistant should have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
