This role is pivotal in ensuring the business meets and exceeds its regulatory obligations while driving compliance excellence across all areas of the organisation.

About the Role

As Compliance Officer, you will oversee compliance activities across the business, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and internal standards. You will play a key role in developing and implementing compliance programmes, conducting audits, and fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the business complies with global regulations, including anti-bribery, modern slavery, ESG & sustainability, sanctions, and cybersecurity.
  • Supply Chain Management: Monitor and ensure compliance across all supply chain activities.
  • Customer Compliance: Manage customer compliance enquiries and questionnaires.
  • Policy Development: Draft, review, and update compliance policies and procedures.
  • Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments, identifying issues and recommending corrective actions.
  • Training & Education: Develop and deliver compliance training programmes for employees.
  • Monitoring & Auditing: Perform audits, prepare compliance reports, and maintain robust monitoring systems.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the key point of contact for regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry trends, ensuring compliance programmes remain effective and up to date.

About You

We’re looking for candidates with the following:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional - CCEP) are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field.
  • Experience within the manufacturing or automotive industry is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong decision-making skills, particularly under pressure.
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and results-driven approach.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work beyond standard hours when required.
