Role Summary: As a Mechanical Project Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of residential construction projects. You'll oversee all mechanical aspects, ensuring they meet safety, quality, time, and cost targets. Building strong relationships with stakeholders and managing the broader impacts on the project will be key to your success.

Responsibilities of a Mechanical Project Manager:

  • Overseeing the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems in residential buildings, including HVAC, plumbing, and heating systems.
  • Developing and implementing project plans to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Monitoring project progress and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Managing subcontractors and ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Coordinating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Managing project budgets and ensuring financial targets are met.

Requirements for a Mechanical Project Manager:

  • Educated to HNC in Mechanical Engineering (Minimum requirement), preferably to degree level. (Preferable)
  • Experience in residential construction projects, particularly in mechanical systems installation and maintenance.
  • Professional Qualification in Project Management such as APM PMQ or other recognised qualification. (Preferable)
  • Proven track record of delivering projects from concept to completion within the residential sector.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and quality assurance processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
