About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work directly with students to provide tailored assistance, both inside and outside the classroom. You will contribute to a supportive and encouraging learning environment, enabling students to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
- Assist teachers in creating inclusive lesson plans that cater to individual learning needs.
- Help students build their confidence and develop essential life skills.
- Support students in managing their emotions and behaviours positively.
- Facilitate the use of specialist resources and assistive technologies where necessary.
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, is highly desirable.
- A caring and patient approach, with a genuine enthusiasm for helping students succeed.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to adapt quickly to different situations and needs within the classroom.
- A current enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or the willingness to apply for one.
