Salary: £95 - £110 per day (depending on experience)

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a dynamic and imaginative SEN Teaching Assistant to join our trauma-informed Secondary School for students with SEMH needs.

We are in search of a dedicated individual, someone whose passion for education matches their commitment to guiding and teaching the most challenging young individuals in our community. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in trauma-informed practices and comprehend the transformative power of education in helping students who arrive at our school with a past, to depart with a promising future.

Job Description -SEN Teaching Assistant:

• SEN Teaching Assistant
• Working in a dedicated SEND school for children with SEMH needs
• Providing support on a 1-1 basis and/or in small group settings
• Work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support, in and out of the classroom
• Helping students engage with learning and develop emotional resilience
• Promoting positive behaviour, and helping students manage their emotions and social interactions

Person Specification -SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant
• Prior experience working with children with SEMH needs is desirable
• Nurturing and positive approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a wider team.
