Your new companyI am working with a dynamic and forward-thinking company, based in Blackburn, who are looking to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger professional to join their team on a full time and permanent basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a company that values precision, efficiency, and teamwork.Your new roleAs a Senior Purchase Ledger, your primary responsibilities will include controlling and setting up new approved suppliers, processing multi-currency invoices, and ensuring adherence to purchase credit and returns policies. You will monitor unfulfilled orders, liaise with internal purchasing representatives, and work closely with the 'Goods In' department to resolve discrepancies. Additionally, you will be responsible for monthly reviews of supplier account information, chasing invoices, and reconciling supplier statements. Your role will also involve managing payment runs via BACS, liaising with external stakeholders for international payments, and ensuring compliance with HMRC Duty charges. This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week on a flexible basis. What you'll need to succeedTo succeed in this role, you will need to be a motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic. Experience of working in a high volume purchase ledger role previously is essential, with an analytical mindset. You should have a proven ability to implement rigorous controls and processes, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Proficiency in all major IT applications, including Microsoft Excel (vlookups and pivot tables), is essential.
