Job Opportunity: Account Manager

  • Salary:Circa £28-35k
  • Location:Darwen

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join a leading national distributor in Darwen. This is an exceptional opportunity to work for a market leader in their field, offering a stable role and a supportive work environment.

Main Duties:

  • Achieve sales targets in terms of value, volume, and gross margin for designated area(s).
  • Develop and nurture new accounts, maintaining strong relationships with customers.
  • Respond effectively to sales targets set and agreed upon with the Sales Office Manager.
  • Provide high-quality, professional day-to-day communication with customers via telephone, email, etc.
  • Oversee all aspects of the sales order process to ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Generate quotations using company pricing policies, cut-to-size optimizing software, and CRM system.
  • Produce monthly sales reports for the Sales Office Manager.
  • Assist with stock purchasing to meet agreed stock turn targets.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse & Distribution Manager to ensure service levels meet customer demand while minimizing costs.
  • Attend all Sales Office and Branch Meetings.
  • Carry out other duties as requested by the Sales or Branch Manager.
  • Adhere to all aspects of health and safety within the sales and warehouse environment.
