Your new companyYour new school is a large secondary school with academy status located in central Blackburn. The school is coeducational and caters for pupils aged 11-19. The school is part of a Multi-Academy Trust which has a clear vision for achieving excellence and there is an extremely supportive senior leadership team throughout school. In addition to the above, the school offers state of the art facilities and has excellent transport links.Your new roleJoining a highly driven, ambitious department, you will be responsible for teaching English to KS5. The role is to commence as soon as possible and will operate, full time, on a temporary basis until Easter as a minimum. As the role is long term, you will be required to plan and prepare all lessons whilst differentiating between pupil ability. You will also be required to mark and assess all work ensuring that pupils are progressing in line with their target grades.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in securing this position, it is essential that you hold a teaching qualification such as QTS, QTLS or PGCE and have experience of teaching English to KS4. KS5 experience is advantageous but not essential. You must be able to commence the role immediately and be able to commit to the full duration of the assignment. What you'll get in returnIn return, you will be paid a competitive daily rate and will gain experience working within a successful English department. In addition to the support from the department, you will also be supported by a dedicated HAYS consultant who will assist with any queries.
