They are the sixth-largest provider of specialist educational services in the country, supporting over 900 children and young people, and employing over 1,000 staff.
This school supports young people aged 10-19 who face various challenges associated with social, emotional and mental health needs.
Many of the young people who come to this school have had a poor experience of formal educational settings in the past, and may face significant barriers to learning.
With the support of trained, skilled and experienced teaching and therapeutic staff, students are able to overcome their barriers and to develop the skills they need to thrive in their lives beyond school.
The role:
- Report to the Principal of the School
- You'll be able to hold curriculum and teaching and learning areas in the school.
- Salary on this job will be pro rata to a day rate and will follow the Headteacher NEU payscale.
You:
- Can commute to Darwen
- Can start IMMEDIATELY
- Have QTS
- Have experience of guiding a school through an Ofsted - one is due at this school in March/April this year
- Experience in leadership in a UK school - preferably an SEN or SEMH school
- Can work 5 days a week
- Can commit to the end of the Academic Year 2025
