Reed Education/Lancashire Teaching Agency are seeking a dedicated SEN TA in a primary school in Bacup.  

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference in students’ lives and thrives in a supportive educational environment. The role is required for 4 days per week between 12:00 – 15:30 to start January and set to continue on an ongoing basis.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide tailored support to students, ensuring their educational and social development.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of individual learning activities.
  • Work closely with the classroom teacher to monitor the student’s progress.
  • Implement strategies to support the student’s learning and engagement.
  • Facilitate a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Adapt to the student’s needs and provide feedback to teachers and parents.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children with SEN and SEMH
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in providing support within an educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards student development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.
