Job Title: Specialist Speech and Language Therapist Location: Covering 3 sites in Preston, Leyland and DarwinSalary: £37,668 to £44,699 per annum, pro rata  (depending on qualifications and experience)Hours:  40hrs per week - Term time only plus 2 weeks (41 weeks per year worked) Our client is an innovative provider of education and care for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities with an ambitious growth plan. They are looking for Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to work as part of a therapy team in their Northwest Schools.The role:The three provisions provide flexible day placements for students aged 5 to 19 years with communication and associated difficulties or specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia.  Some may be on the autistic spectrum or have anxieties and difficulties that create barriers to learning. Working collaboratively with the sites, you will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our children and young people with developmental trauma, Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs. You will be responsible for holding a small speech and language therapy caseload for the  three special schools and with the support of our experienced Clinical Lead, you will also contribute to staff training, consultation and reflective practice. Both a challenging and rewarding role, this position would suit a resilient and enthusiastic individual, with a therapeutic approach and the ability to make decisions, as well as manage their own workload. Essential Criteria: 
  • You will be a registered member of RCSLT and HCPC
  • Hold a professional Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent. 
  • As this role involves travel, a full UK driving licence and access to a car is required.
