Financial Controller - Daventry - £45,000 to £60,000 DOE

Are you a Qualified Accountant eager to chart a path towards becoming a Finance Director within a thriving SME?

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join a well-established, privately-owned business in Daventry, in operation since the 1970s. This role is perfect for a proactive individual who can work closely with the Managing Director, while leading a small finance team of two and taking a hands-on approach to day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate directly with the Managing Director to provide insights on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and investment strategies.
Enhance and streamline financial systems and processes to improve overall business efficiency and performance.
Take a commercial approach to finance, advising on cost management and identifying opportunities for growth.
Develop financial models and tools to support strategic decision-making.
Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

What We’re Looking For:

A Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience in a similar role.
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to manage both high-level financial planning and hands-on tasks.
A commitment to long-term growth and development within a smaller, dynamic business.
An ability to drive change and implement best practices in financial management.
