- Delivering area work schedule to the required output and quality.
- Achieve maximum output by achieving target times and by resourcing flexibly around breaks and machining activities.
- Resource planning within the machining cell Feeding (planning for team member holidays against the work schedule, and feeding back to production management where additional resource will be required)
- Leading the team in that area, delegating work as appropriate, managing scheduled leave.
- Working to company KPIs (Key Performance Indicators, machine utilisation, machine performance against target and quality yield)
- Ensure good timekeeping and working to company procedures for all employees.
- Work with the engineering team to identify and make improvements
- Previous experience of programming, setting and operating CNC Milling Machines & Lathes
- Previous experience of manual machining for Milling Machines & Lathes
- Competent and confident in reading engineering drawings
- Supervisory/Management experience
- Experience using CAM software systems to generate CNC programmes
- Ability to read and write ISO programming code
- Machining and general engineering qualification
- HNC/HNC/Undergraduate Degree in a technical/engineering discipline
