The position is for a CSWIP Welder and Inspector in Daventry, offering a salary between £38,000 and £45,000 depending on experience.
The role requires an experienced welding trainer with a CSWIP certification and experience within a fabrication welding business.
Responsibilities include designing welding procedures, providing technical guidance, and training employees in welding practices.
The successful candidate will also manage weld quality audits and support new product introduction activities.
This is a hybrid role that includes practical welding work and requires excellent communication and organizational skills.

CSWIP welder and Inspector Daventry£38,000 - £45000 DOE Monday – Friday 7am – 5:15pm (1pm finish on a Friday)We are looking for an experienced welding trainer to join a well-established & growing team in Daventry. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance and expertise in the field of welding and fabrication, to meet the requirements of international standards and customer specifications.This will be a hybrid role, with practical welding involved, as well as training and developing the team and new starters. They successful candidate will need to be CSWIP certified.Key Duties:

Designing and writing of welding procedures and maintenance of records
Provide technical guidance and expertise to internal departments on weld procedures
Analyse high rate of weld repairs and give guidance for improvement to reduce wastage
Responsible for total weld quality throughout the company for manufactured products
Identifying process changes/improvements
Training/coaching employees in accordance with welding procedures and assessment/appraisal of welders
Management of audit system related to weld quality & internal auditing
5S Champion – Providing guidance, training, assessment to members of staff
Support NPI welding and product manufacture procedure activity
Set, operate and maintain the MIG and TIG machines and related tools and equipment.
MIG Welding with mild steel
Read and interpret engineering drawings in order to lay out a welding project.

The Ideal Candidate:

CSWIP Certification
Experience within a fabrication welding business
Working Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 15614-1 & 5817
Working Knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel
Methodical and precise.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels.
Exceptional organisational skills
