Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment are pleased to be working with a very well-established organisation based Deeside who are looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Management Accountant for a key area of their business. Our Client is seeking an individual who is a strong communicator at all levels, who can influence change, and proactively challenge performance when required.

This role will support department heads with clear and insightful information, to help drive sales & margin growth.

Key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Provide insightful analysis to support and enhance the business sales and margin performance, proactively challenging performance when required
  • Responsible for budgeting and forecasting process and clear analysis of performance versus budget
  • Support contracts team with supplier negotiations ensuring deep understanding of supplier profitability as well as impacts of costs and movements.
  • Lead pricing process to measure the competitiveness of prices within the market and drive appropriate corrective action
  • Provide heads of departments with market data to support commercial decision making
  • Review forecast in line with marketing cycle, identifying forecast performance and risks and opportunities
  • Ensure accurate invoicing of supplier funding and commercial income in line with deadlines
  • Working closely with the wider finance team on areas such as forecasting working capital
  • Supporting the Senior Finance Manager and the wider business in ensuring the financial systems and controls are robust to mitigate the risk of financial losses
  • Analyse and interpret data from multiple sources across the business including product, customer, depot and store
  • Delivering insightful ad hoc analysis to support operational and strategic decision making across the business

Key Skills/Qualifications

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified
  • Proven experience within a fast paced Commercial Finance role
  • Strong communication skills essential, ability to influence, and challenge performance when required
  • High degree of commercial acumen essential
  • Super advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills essential
  • Team player, this role is all about engaging people across a broad spectrum
