We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Welsh Teacher to join our vibrant teaching team at a high school in Flintshire. As a Welsh Teacher, you will inspire students to appreciate the richness of the Welsh language, teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 while promoting bilingualism and cultural awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Welsh to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning experience
  • Deliver lessons that encourage students to become confident and fluent in Welsh, both spoken and written
  • Develop and implement creative and interactive lesson plans that cater to the needs of all learners
  • Assess studentsā€™ progress and provide constructive feedback to help them achieve their potential
  • Encourage studentsā€™ enthusiasm for Welsh culture, history, and literature
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the wider school community in embracing the Welsh language
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the Welsh department

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A relevant teaching qualification (QTS)
  • Fluent in Welsh (written and spoken)
  • Strong knowledge of the Welsh curriculum for KS3 and KS4
  • Passionate about the Welsh language and culture
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience teaching Welsh at KS3 and KS4 is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment
