Then this is the role for you!My client, a global leader in the Aerospace industry, has an exciting opportunity for a Material Planning Manager to join their team based in Deeside. Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership to both planning and commercial team.
  • Lead Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning process (SIOP). Integrate all necessary functions and delivers a high-level presentation to the top management group
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Maintenance, Repair, Operations and Engineering teams to create accurate capacity plans that reflect the difference between demand and the resources available
  • Develop a best practice sharing mentality between the team. Engaging with related sites and embracing an ongoing enhancement mindset.
  • Material escalation point, dealing with supply chain and functional business connections both inside and externally
  • Sales forecasting, where appropriate, based on capacity, client orderbooks, and arrears recovery
  • Keep track of throughput and plan compliance. Reports on limitations and recuperation
  • Interacts with Quality, Materials, Manufacturing, MRO, Shipping, and Assembly to ensure deliveries are met
  • Review orderbook changes and challenges any changes in the demand profile with the relevant customers
The person:
  • 2-3 years management experience
  • Degree in Operations, Business, Supply Chain or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years' experience working within a planning and/or customer facing role
  • 2-3 years management experience, preferable within an aerospace manufacturer
  • Strong leadership skills to overcome challenges and achieve results
  • Strong mathematical ability, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong MS office and ERP system understanding
