Procurement Specialist (Indirect) 12 month FTC
  • Location: Deeside
  • Job Type: Full-time, Site Based - 12 month FTC
  • Salary: £54,000 - £60,000
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, from 7:00am to 5:30pm

Reed Procurement are currently working in partnership with a well established and global MEP contracting business, who are now working on an exciting project in Deeside and require an Indirect Procurement Specialist to join this project for a 12 month period.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Responsible for end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management
  • Analyse market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and evaluate supplier offers to determine the most appropriate purchasing goals
  • Negotiate with suppliers and coordinate local contracts with the Contract Manager
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials needed by the site
  • Continually track the supply market, staying informed about developments, trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Engage with existing and potential suppliers while anticipating external market factors
  • Oversee warehouse activities including consumables, goods receipt, and transfer
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and meet procurement needs
  • Prepare and present related procurement reports
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a procurement role within Mechanical & Electrical Contracting Projects
  • Preferably with knowledge of the UK market
  • Experience with ERP software, preferably SAP
  • Strong negotiation skills and a thorough understanding of market dynamics
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
