Brownlee Cale are recruiting for a permanent Mechanical Project Engineer for a civils contractor in North Wales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Assemble, structure, and monitor a competent team while ensuring safety is the top priority.
  • Project Execution & Monitoring: Implement procedures for design, procurement, and installation, ensuring timely progress and risk management.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and design teams to meet project goals.
  • Meetings & Reporting: Chair and document site progress, safety, and design meetings; produce reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Safety: Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and ensure adherence to safety and quality plans.
  • Procurement & Contracts: Support subcontractor selection, manage NEC contracts, and oversee procurement activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant CSCS card, SMSTS qualification, NVQ Level 3 or higher (preferably in Site Supervision or Construction Management).
  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical construction, particularly within the water utility sector.
  • Experience in NEC contract management and site supervision.
  • First Aid certification and proficiency in IT systems.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
