We are looking for a group of enthusiastic experienced social care workers to join a team who motivate each other to provide the best possible service to all supported people in their own homes. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the ever-growing Community Team.

We are recruiting for two full time positions (150 hours per four weeks) and two part time positions (120 hours per four weeks). For some vacancies driving license is essential, but not for all.

The starting rate is £12.60 per hour. Contract hours would be discussed further at the interview as these could be variable dependent on department, shift pattern and service user needs.

An ideal candidate should hold SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare qualification,
be a team player, sensitive to the evolving needs of individuals and colleagues, can remain calm under pressure, be experienced in dealing with and managing behaviour that constitutes stress and distress, have strong communication skills to motivate other people and have an empathetic personality.

Professional qualifications are highly desirable; however, the right candidates will be supported to complete these throughout their career with us. It is desirable that applicants have experience working in a care and support environment, however all essential training will be given during induction.

Your responsibilities would include ensuring you follow the supported persons support plan and related documents, medication administration, helping with necessary tasks which will include personal care, promoting independent living within the local community and supporting individual outcome achievements. The successful candidate must be able and willing to use manual handling equipment.

We will require an update/registration of Protection of Vulnerable Groups scheme to work with vulnerable adults and will need to ensure compliance with SSSC registration.
