We are seeking an Accounts Senior to join a leading accountancy practice in Derby. This role is ideal for an experienced professional looking to further develop their expertise in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. You will work with a diverse client portfolio, providing high-quality accounting services and supporting junior team members.Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of year-end financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
  • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns and management accounts.
  • Assisting with corporate and personal tax computations.
  • Reviewing work completed by junior team members, providing guidance and support.
  • Managing client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for queries and advice.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or finalist.
  • Previous experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and tax principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and client expectations effectively.
