This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced up and coming accounts person currently working in Management Accounts, Financial Accounts, Assistant Accountant who is studying either ACCA / CIMA/ ACA to progress their career into an Assistant Financial Controller position with an expanding Group company. You will be working as part of an established and busy team assisting with the delivery of accurate and timely financial information.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Produce monthly management accounts to strict timetable
- Responsible for statutory year-end accounts
- Comprehensive analytical financial forecasts
- Corporate Tax returns and VAT Returns
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain relationships with internal and external clients, including Group Finance
- Cash management, including bank reconciliations and forecasts
- Supervision of accounts payable
- Budgeting, forecasting and KPI tracking
- Assist in planning and execution of cost reduction strategies
Your background:
- Experience in a similar UK based accounts role is key; able to work independently, managing own workload
- Must be studying ACCA, CIMA, or ACA and be determined to become qualified
- Study support will be provided
- Have experience in working in a busy finance department and show willingness to learn new skills
- Possess strong Excel skills
- You should be result focused, able to resolve problems, and be able to build relationships at varied levels
