An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Gastroenterology to join a dedicated and dynamic team in Derby. We welcome applications from both substantive and fixed-term candidates who are passionate about delivering high-quality gastroenterology services and have experience in general medicine ward cover.
About the Role:
- Provide specialist gastroenterology care, including endoscopy, outpatient clinics, and inpatient consultations.
- Contribute to the care of general medicine inpatients, including ward cover responsibilities.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Support service development, clinical governance, and research initiatives.
- Teach and mentor junior doctors, medical students, and allied health professionals.
Requirements:
- Evidence of entry on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of attaining CCT at the time of the interview.
- CCT in Gastroenterology and General Medicine (or equivalent qualification).
- Experience in general medicine ward cover, with strong acute care skills.
- Commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and service improvement.
