- Oversee and manage the Trust’s finance function, ensuring efficient financial operations across multiple academies.
- Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensure strong financial controls and processes are in place, driving continuous improvement.
- Provide insightful financial analysis and management information to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage the preparation and submission of statutory financial returns and reports in line with regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with senior leaders to ensure alignment of financial strategies with the Trust’s educational and operational goals.
- Oversee cash flow management and treasury functions to ensure the Trust’s financial stability.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to maintain high performance.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller, ideally within a multi-academy trust, independent school, or state-funded school.
- Strong understanding of financial management, controls, and statutory reporting requirements in the education sector.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- A hands-on approach, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
