Oversee and manage the Trust’s finance function, ensuring efficient financial operations across multiple academies.
Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Ensure strong financial controls and processes are in place, driving continuous improvement.
Provide insightful financial analysis and management information to support strategic decision-making.
Manage the preparation and submission of statutory financial returns and reports in line with regulatory requirements.
Work closely with senior leaders to ensure alignment of financial strategies with the Trust’s educational and operational goals.
Oversee cash flow management and treasury functions to ensure the Trust’s financial stability.
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to maintain high performance.

About You: We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Financial Controller with a strong background in education finance for our client. You will have proven experience in managing financial operations for a multi-academy trust, independent school, or state-funded school. Your expertise in financial processes, controls, and regulatory compliance within the education sector will be crucial for success in this role.Requirements:

Proven experience as a Financial Controller, ideally within a multi-academy trust, independent school, or state-funded school.
Strong understanding of financial management, controls, and statutory reporting requirements in the education sector.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
A hands-on approach, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
