We are currently recruiting for a Revenue Accountant to support our client on a 3 month basis during a period of system implimentation. Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours per week 9am-5pm) Based: Derby, Fully Office Based Salary: Β£30 - 35k Benefits: (Holiday 25 days, free onsite parking, staff discount) Revenue Accountant is responsible for ensuring the Revenue recognised is complete and accurate, ensuring the Bank Reconciliation process is fully and accurately maintained on a daily basis. Key Tasks & Responsibilities: ο Reconciling all Bank accounts on a daily basis ο Ensuring all non-invoiced Sales are processed on Sage correctly. ο Reconcile Accrued Receipts ο Posting of cash and matching to invoices on a timely basis ο Correcting discrepancies between cash received & invoiced ο Liaising with Customer Service and Workshop team to ensure accurate recording of customer returns ο Processing refunds and credits to the ledger on timely basis ο Ensuring that company policies are complied with through all activities; and that all work is undertaken in accordance with procedures and any relevant codes of practice and legislation ο To provide ad hoc support to the wider finance team as required ο Develop functional understanding of systems processes and controls to effectively perform role KPI's: ο Value of Cash received not matched to Sales invoices ο Value & Number of Draft Invoices Knowledge, Skills & Experience: ο Strong technical accounting knowledge and to fully understand the transactional finance function. ο Experience of processing and handling large volumes of data ο Reconciliation of accounts with high volume/low value transactions ο Proficient user of Sage 200 & Microsoft Excel for interrogation and manipulation of data ο Strong numeric and analytical skills ο Strong communication, negotiating and influencing skills ο Comfortable making and receiving calls to customers ο Confident, articulate, and passionate about personal and team development ο Enthusiastic and adaptable working style, keen to identify opportunities for improvements ο Adaptable and keen to learn The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar capacity with proven capability and ability to work towards targets, with excellent Excel skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
