Due to expansion and internal progression, I’m working on a brilliant position for an ACA or ACCA qualified Accountant to join a leading PLC as a Senior Group Financial Accountant reporting directly into the Group Financial Controller. The position is based in Derby with an extremely flexible hybrid working model.

You will be part of an ambitious team who are always looking to progress and push the business forward into different areas of the market. As the Senior Group Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting business growth and looking after two qualified members of staff.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts, working alongside the Group Financial Controller.
  • Ensuring group external reporting is delivered in time and in line with all current regulatory standards.
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts on a monthly basis.
  • Support the business in financial decision-making and identifying areas for process improvement across the finance function.

Key requirements:

  • Post-qualified (ACA, ACCA) looking for your second move from practice or with relevant industry experience.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, ideally within a PLC environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate to other areas of the business.
