22.2 hours per week

Hours and working pattern: Mon 7.30am - 12 midday, Tues 7.30am - 12 midday, Wed 10am - 3pm, Thurs 9am - 2pm, Friday 8am - 11.15am
Main Location: Toyota Manufacturing UK, Burnaston, Derby, Technical Skills Development (TSD) building.

Due to the continued growth of our apprenticeship programmes, Burton and South Derbyshire College is seeking two dedicated Apprenticeship Support Officers to join our professional apprenticeship delivery team, part time. This role is based at our partner organisation, Toyota Manufacturing UK in Derby, as well as our main campus in Burton on Trent.

We are looking for motivated and dynamic individuals to provide coaching, mentoring, and pastoral support to apprentices throughout their journey?from enrolment to the successful completion of their apprenticeship. This is a rewarding and varied role that offers the opportunity to make a real impact on the development and success of apprentices both in college and the workplace.

This position is ideal for someone passionate about helping others achieve their goals, who is innovative, solution-focussed and thrives on making a difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver end-to-end support for apprentices, including creation and delivery of briefings and tutorials regarding personal development, progress reviews and on-going pastoral care where required.
  • Assist apprentices in overcoming challenges, providing tailored solutions to enable them to succeed.
  • Work collaboratively with our professional team and industry partners to ensure the highest standards of apprenticeship delivery.

  • A supportive and empathetic approach to mentoring and guidance.
  • A creative and proactive mindset to support the design and delivery of engaging teaching materials and learning sessions.
  • Strong networking skills, enabling you to connect learners with the appropriate resources.
  • The ability to adapt and innovate to meet the individual needs of apprentices.
