We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to join the projects team to support with large scale tenders that vary on complexity of works
Key Accountabilities

Plan, manage and deliver site activities and to support the Project team to deliver the construction works.

Safely and sustainably deliver the construction works to programme, cost and quality

Ensure the sufficiency of people & systems to deliver the construction activity

Support and develop an environment where the construction team can thrive and succeed

Ensure effective management of client and stakeholders

Review, monitor and improve construction performance

Provides management, leadership and inspires a multi-disciplinary team to achieve a common goal

To determine the most appropriate means of satisfying customer/project requirements, objectives and constraints; time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefit
Skills & Experience required
-
Previous experience as a construction or project manager within substations or cabling is essential

Able to demonstrate a track record of project delivery

Good understanding of the standard forms of contracts

Proficient in commercial/project management communications

Experience in implementing safe systems of work

Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written with all levels of the organisation

Effective team management skills which empower, influence & inspire others to build effective teams.

Providing mentoring and support to members of the team where required

Commercially astute
-
Able to undertake work in high pressure situations

Good knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics

Record of a solution-based approach to problem solving

Communicate and check understanding of daily briefings

Discuss ideas and plans competently and with confidence
