My Derbyshire based client organisation is currently offering a full-time permanent position as a Accounts Receivable and Credit Control Clerk. This is a great opportunity to join a growing small finance team as they expand and grow together.

About the Role:

The role is full time (37.5 hrs pern week) and fully office based, and this is an office environment and surrounds you will be happy to be visiting frequently! As the Accounts Receivable and Credit Control Clerk, you will play an integral part within this finance team of 7, aiding in the completion of a diverse range of ledger accounting tasks. Collaborating closely with wider finance team you will report into the Finance Manager. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive, self -starter who is passionate about finance, to hone their accounts receivable and credit control ledger accounting skills and make significant contributions to the finance team's performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Raising sales invoices for payments to set time frames

Chasing payments via phone, letter and email

Initiating escalation actions to legal

Setting up new customer files

Customer file maintenance

Working within Excel

Supporting the wider finance team on an ad hock basis

Ideally you will have:

Previous experience in a credit control/accounts receivable role or similar role preferred.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to learn and develop new skills in accounting and finance.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication and relationship building skills.

Adaptable and flexible to change as the finance team improves their processes.

The ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.

Excellent numeracy skills.

Confident with basic Microsoft Excel tasks.
