Our ClientOur client offers high-quality, digitally enabled rolling stock solutions that contribute hugely towards the success of Britain's railways. They not only own and lease new rolling stock vehicles but also offer asset management which is focussed on driving performance, safety and suitability for the asset's life span. You will become part of a small team, that delivers major rail & rolling stock projects, which are complex, high value and diverse. These include new build, new tech introductions, refurbishments and infrastructure. You will be responsible for: * Deliver lease obligations for delivery of New Rolling Stock, associated Contract Variations, Heavy Maintenance and Modifications* Ensure that projects are delivered to time, cost and an acceptable level of quality* Ensure that all projects are managed to support the safe operations of vehicles on the railway system, with due consideration to respective lease obligations* Working with supplier services as required, ensure that the projects allocated to you are managed to deliver their time, cost and quality objectives* Ensure that the projects that are allocated to you are reported so the business has sufficient visibility of the progress, issues, costs, risks and opportunities within your projects. * Undertake regular project reviews to monitor overall project performance * Ensure Project Execution Plans and workbooks for your projects are up to date * Chair the regular contract review meetings * Ensure that milestone payments due to the business are progressed in accordance with the contractual arrangements * Manage Contract Variations * Compile Engineering Change requests to support contract variations* Manage applicable warranty systems with both operators and suppliers to minimise risk General requirements: * Chartered Membership of Engineering Institution or APM desirable * Degree, HNC or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or alternative appropriate Traction and Rolling Stock experience * Project Management qualification is desirable * New Build Projects desirable * Good knowledge of railway industry rolling stock, organisation and players * Knowledge of contractual obligations and operating lease agreements * Good knowledge of project management tools * Ability to understand and comment upon engineering instructions and drawings * Knowledge and understanding of vehicle maintenance and overhaul requirementsContact InformationEmail: Due to the volume of applications, we can only commit to contact those candidates we deem suitable for the position.
