Educated Appointments are delighted to be assisting a regular client of ours in recruiting a Operations/ Departmental Manager and Coach Professional Level 5 Apprenticeship Coach. 

Based remotely and delivering classroom sessions online, the successful applicant will work as a workplace mentor, helping to develop and shape sustainable managers for the future through robust and innovative training and development programmes. This role will be crucial in maintaining and strengthening stakeholder relationships and delivering high levels of service, achieving high achievement and satisfaction rates. 

Althought experience delivering these programmes previously is advantageous, new or aspiring coaches are encouraged to apply with training and qualifications given. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

- Delivering classroom based delivery to develop workplace knowledge and skills as part of learner apprenticeships

- Identify learners starting points to set personalised and stretching learning plans to motivate and inspire learners to achiever and progress towards their career aspirations

- Conduct workplace assessments to monitor learner development, generating evidence to assist with the Gateway and EPA phase

- Record all teaching and learning completed on and off the job, ensuring full compliance with the 20% off the job training rule

- Ensure each learner has a meaningful visit each month to ensure regular support and review of progress

- Ensure effective teaching of English and Maths and timely achievement of functional skills within the first six months of a learner being on programme

- Ensure formal learner reviews are carried out every 10 weeks, ensuring both learner and employer involvement.

- Manage and maintain a thorough record of the learner journey, ensuring full compliance with the ESFA funding rules

-Assist with the ongoing development of the programme, ensuring resources are current and information reflects workplace changes as and when they occur. Ensure knowledge of new standards and EPA assessment plans is strong to enable success for all learners

-Support with the generation of new starts through existing employer networks, utilising the strong reputation built. Ensure quality enrolments to maintain caseload

-Ensure regular feedback is captured from stakeholders to support the programme’s ongoing improvements. Ensure learners complete surveys at the start, middle and end point of their apprenticeship

-Ensure as a minimum that 80% of your cohort achieve their apprenticeship within their expected timeline

-To achieve a minimum grade 2 ‘good’ or above through the observation of teaching, learning and assessment process

-Maintain a caseload of 42 funded learners

-Conduct annual health and safety checks on all employers where there are learners placed

-Carry out meaningful exit reviews with all learners to identify outcome, progression and destination

-Ensure all learner administration is completed and uploaded within 48 working hours of an intervention taking place

- Ensure the full embedding of all Equal Opportunities policies and Health & Safety requirements (including Safeguarding) are complied with and all learners are given fair access to assessment

-Participate in and support the annual self-assessment process

-Attend and participate in team and company meetings, as required

-Represent the company at relevant events and generally supporting marketing strategy

-Maintain annual record of CPD, minimum 30 hours (pro rata)

-To take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners with whom you come into contact

-Additional duties appropriate to the post as directed by the Head of Quality

Skills and Experience Required (Not all essential)

- Excellent IT skills that include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

- To hold Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths and ICT

- Assessing the Quality of Assessment Level 3 certificate (TAQA)

- Relevant teaching qualification (Minimum level 3 award in Education and Training)

- Level 5 Management qualification

- Level 5 Coaching qualification

- Vast experience of working in senior management positions
